About AIM PDF Print E-mail

Whether streamlining operations, producing smarter products, or making connections with customers around the world, the ability to apply information technology, coupled with a skilled workforce, is key to helping our citizens and communities thrive in a global economy.

As a not-for-profit membership organization, it is the AIM Institute's mission to support community growth through information technology. AIM fulfills its mission by collaborating with business leaders, educators and government to help citizens in Nebraska and the surrounding region to develop the skills needed in an information economy and to prosper through the innovative application of IT.

AIM serves the region by:

  • Providing IT Leadership – To help position our community for future business and economic development opportunities in an information economy, we provide IT leadership through our research, conferences, forums, speakers bureau, and annual banquet. Learn More...
  • Recruiting Talent – We foster talent recruitment by helping employers, job seekers, entrepreneurs and communities connect with each other. AIM works with the region's employers and communities to attract talent through its robust, online job-posting service; informs former Nebraskans of the state's amenities, opportunities and resources; is developing tools to attract and support entrepreneurs; and identifies emerging workforce skill requirements. Learn More...
  • Building a Skilled Workforce – We facilitate educational programs in our schools, at the workplace and throughout the community to improve the quality of IT education in our region, empower individuals, and to ultimately help build a stronger skilled workforce. Learn More...
  • Empowering Organizations through IT – We partner with nonprofit and educational organizations to help them fund, manage and evaluate their programs. We also assist organizations in capacity-building training and funding. Learn More...

We look forward to continuing our work with our current and new partners as the Information Age evolves and brings new challenges and opportunities. We invite you to explore our programs, services and resources described on our website and hope you, too, will consider partnering with us in this great adventure!
