AIM Achiever Program PDF Print E-mail

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Education through previous grants, the AIM Institute developed the AIM Achiever Program. This program awards $4,000 scholarships to selected eighth-grade students from Metro middle schools and offers the students educational support services to help them achieve in high school and go on to college. AIM Achievers may receive offerings in academic counseling, career counseling, and ACT preparation from AIM Institute educational specialists throughout their high school career.

By awarding these scholarships in eighth grade, this program provides motivation for academic achievement in high school and beyond. The program has enjoyed unqualified success, with 100% of scholarship awardees graduating from high school and 88% going on to postsecondary institutions. Their peer group's graduation rate falls under 70% with a postsecondary attendance rate of 28%. Learn more about the factors that influence acadmic achievement.

We Ask for Your Support

Federal funding for the program has expired; however, the AIM Achiever Program has been so successful that we have committed to sustaining it. Further direct funding for more scholarships and program expansion is needed. We must expand our investment in these students, for in doing so, we invest in an American workforce of the future that will continue to excel in the world market.

Join us in helping motivated students strive for greater academic achievement in high school and pursue a college education. Corporate or individual support of an AIM Achiever provides four years of AIM support services and a $4,000 scholarship to be used for education beyond high school graduation. Sponsorship can also provide opportunities for internship, mentoring or job shadowing as the Achiever progresses through high school and college.
