Research Studies
In order to keep current with the dynamic environment in information
technology, education, and economic development, AIM participates in a
variety of research-oriented activities. Our research studies
focus on survey data that helps identify key characteristics of the
region's information technology environment including trends in the IT department's role, technology usage, educational requirements, and workforce challenges.

AIM's Most Recent Study Focuses on the Role of IT in Change Management
As an organization's core business processes become increasingly integrated through information technology, the successful management of change whether it results from business, social, regulatory, or technological forces requires a blend of IT and business expertise. AIM's latest research effort surveyed the IT departments of 21 large highly integrated Omaha firms to obtain a better understanding of the roles IT departments play in managing change and what that says about the blend of IT and business skills needed by employees throughout today's organizations.
