The Technology Celebration Award for K-12 Educator of the Year recognizes a member of the educational community as an outstanding technology leader, a person that enriches the educational experience for students, teachers and colleagues.

Craig McGee leverages technology to enhance student learning and focuses on developing his students into technology leaders today so they are better prepared for tomorrow.

Craig is the chairman of the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) Technology Standards Committee, a member of the OPS Technology Curriculum Committee and a member of the OPS Executive Council for Technology Review.

Craig's commitment and dedication exceed the standard school day. He personally provided most of the training and technology support for the Florence teachers and staff. He even worked during a holiday break to pull wires throughout the building for their networking project.

For his work with students, teachers and staff and his ability to nurture their innovation and imagination, Craig McGee is the 2008 K-12 Technology Educator of the Year.
